Lloyds of London is older than the Bank of England & has stood the test of time.

The underwriting of insurance ensures that businesses and people can engage in activities that have greater risk than they on their own could bear. Facilitating commerce and some of the most basic transactions in life and spreading the risk over many shoulders is very beneficial to society. Recently I bought an underwriting business at Lloyds where I wish to focus some of my attention over the next few years.
