Organic Walnuts
Ayot Bury Farm, established in 1672, was first mentioned in the Domesday Book and we have owned Ayot Bury Farm since 2005. Before that it was a Horse Racing Stud Farm for 18 years. The 104 walnut trees were planted on a field in 2012 and are fully organic. We never spray the fields or field margins. Other than the walnut trees, the field is left wild for bees, butterflies and other wild fauna and flora. We have abundant wildflowers between the walnut trees and usually a lot of bees. Each year it is left as long as possible before it’s cut.
We harvest the crop by hand in Oct of each year and pack in boxes that can fit in your letter box, holding approx. 500g of in-the-shell organic walnuts (around 40-50 pieces).
