I have called this section ‘Fake News’ because a number of websites (see below) persist in confusing me with another person.
To repeat (as I have done many times, and continue to do so, annoyingly) I am TOBY BAXENDALE, the person whose website you have successfully accessed here. I am NOT one ‘TOBY BAXENDELL’ – different person, different spelling – which careless inputters seem to have failed to realise. My photo (see main page on this website) is even sometimes erroneously placed in pictures to imply I am married to ‘Toby Baxendell’s’ ex-wife!
My wife often gets asked why she married this divorced and (allegedly) unfaithful chap (ie ‘Toby Baxendell’). My wife and I have been together since May 1989 when we were at the London School of Economics as undergraduates. We were married in June 1995 and have been ever since.
So on all these sites (and no doubt there are more) I issue the following disclaimer:
My genuine photograph is on my website here, and I am not, nor have I ever been, involved in anything involving Toby Baxendell or anyone he is or has been involved with. This confusion has proliferated, unfortunately, so please be aware of it.
