In 2006/07 I commissioned a study with the European School of Management to look into what had gone wrong in the UK’s fish and chip shops, from being the nations favourite to the decline they are experiencing now and looked for potential solutions . Being focused on building and then selling Direct Seafoods at the time, I left the project. To my great joy I was approached by Des McDonald, the CEO of one of my most important customers of old, Caprice Holdings, who had a very exciting plan to revolutionise the UK fish and chip shop. So it was a great pleasure to join his project. We open spring 2013.
